Pool remodeling in Surprise
Much of Surprise went up during the building boom of the late '90s and 2000s. Many of those pools now have a finish that's wearing thin.

When the original plaster wears thin
If your pool still has its original plain plaster, the surface may feel rough on your feet or look blotchy and stained.
This is your first real choice of finish. You don't have to repeat what the builder picked.

Picking a finish that outlasts the first one
Plaster is still the lowest cost. Quartz adds color and holds up longer. Pebble and mini pebble cost the most up front and last the longest, with a textured feel underfoot.
It's also a good time to look at the tile line and skimmer. In a pool this age, both have had about as many years in the sun as the plaster.

My Surprise pool is about 20 years old and has its first plaster. Is it time?
Probably. Rough spots, stains that won't brush off and a blotchy look are the usual signs. If it can wait, we'll tell you so at the visit.
Should I upgrade from plaster on my first resurface?
That depends on how long you'll stay. If it's years, quartz or pebble usually pays off. If you plan to sell soon, fresh plaster may be enough.
Do you work in Sun City Grand?
Yes. We serve all of Surprise, including 55+ communities like Sun City Grand. Check your community's rules before any deck changes.
I'm gone in the summer. Can you work around that?
Bring your dates to the estimate and we can talk it over. Most remodels take 1 to 4 weeks, and the schedule is in writing before work starts.
Can I keep my tile and just redo the plaster?
Yes, if the tile is in good shape. If some tiles are loose or cracked, fixing them now is easier than after the new finish is in.
What's the difference between quartz and pebble?
Quartz is plaster mixed with colored quartz, so it stays smooth. Pebble uses small stones for a rougher surface that lasts longer. Mini pebble uses smaller stones, so it feels smoother underfoot.
