A city of pools from every decade

Phoenix has pools from just about every decade. An older pool often needs more than a new coat: tired plumbing at the skimmer, cracks in the shell, and steps that are hard to use.

A newer pool usually needs less. Often it's a finish that has gone rough or tile that has lost its color. We look at the age and the shell first, then tell you what it really needs.

Hard water and long, hot summers

Phoenix water is hard. The minerals leave white scale along the tile line and wear down a finish over time.

Summer heat and monsoon dust add to it. That's why we talk through finishes, like pebble and quartz, that handle these conditions well, and plan the start-up care once the new surface goes in.

Phoenix pool questions

Can't find your answer? Call (602) 550-8627.

Where is your office?

At 8940 W Sells Dr in west Phoenix. We come to you for the first visit, at no cost.

My pool was built decades ago. Can it still be remodeled?

Usually, yes. Older pools often need crack repair or new skimmers along with the new finish. We check the shell before we quote, so the estimate covers what the pool really needs.

How do I deal with the white scale on my tile?

That's calcium from hard water. Light scale can be cleaned off. If it's built up or the tile is cracked, new tile gives you a fresh start.

Which finish holds up best in Phoenix?

Pebble and quartz last longer than plain plaster in our heat and hard water. Plaster costs less up front. We'll help you weigh the two at your visit.

Can you work in the summer?

Ask about it at your visit. We'll talk through timing so the new surface gets the right start.

Do you offer financing in Phoenix?

Yes. Financing is available through Lyon Financial for projects across the Valley.
