Pool remodeling in Sun City

Del Webb opened Sun City in 1960. Many private pools here have had decades of sun and hard water, and some need work below the surface before a new finish can go on.

Older shells get checked before new plaster

An older shell can crack as the ground shifts and the years pile up. Plaster over a structural crack won't hold. The crack just comes back through the new finish.

So we look for cracks first and repair them as part of the job. You'll see that repair in the estimate before you agree to anything.

Steps and entries that are easier to use

A remodel can add steps or reshape the ones you have, so getting in and out takes less effort. If a deep first step or a narrow entry bothers you now, bring it up at the estimate.

It's easier to change during a remodel than at any other time. The pool is already empty.

Sun City pool questions

Can't find your answer? Call (602) 550-8627.

My Sun City pool may be as old as the house. Can it be saved?

Most can. The question is what the shell needs first. If we find cracks, we repair them, and you'll see that in the estimate before work starts.

Can you make it easier to get in and out of my pool?

Yes. We can add steps or reshape the entry as part of a remodel. Tell us what's hard about it now and we'll suggest options.

Do you work in Sun City even though it isn't a city?

Yes. Sun City is unincorporated Maricopa County, and it's part of our West Valley service area. The estimate is free.

Is a hairline crack a big deal?

Not always. Many hairline cracks sit only in the finish. A crack that runs into the shell needs a real repair before any new surface, and we'll tell you which one you have.

Which finish is easiest on bare feet?

Plaster and quartz feel the smoothest. Mini pebble is a middle ground. Full pebble lasts longest but has the most texture, so feel it before you choose.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. Financing is available through Lyon Financial, which helps with a bigger job like crack repair plus a new finish.
